Mackey's Whole being

Image
John Mackey, Founder of USD 11 Billion Whole Foods Inc: "Company was unable to evolve until I was myself able to evolve. I was holding the company back. My personal growth enabled to company to grow". "60's, 70's, 80s was when people resorted to consciousness for narcissistic purpose. But now we are in an era where you are evolving through spirituality and psychology for your family, your community and the world because all of these are extremely integrated and inter-dependent. One of the ways of raising one's own consciousness is by enabling others to raise their consciousness. Leaders have ethical obligation to make stakeholders evolve spiritually". Mackey sought succor in spiritual practice . He engaged a friend, a follower of the Czech transpersonal psychologist Stanislav Grof, to guide him through a therapeutic session of holotropic breathing (explained towards end of this email). “I had this very powerful session, very pow...

Marc Benioff (extreme right) meditating at Daikaku-ji Temple In Kyoto. He is admirer and follower of Dalai Lama. Here is an excerpt from his interview: "I am very interested in keeping a clear head. So I enjoy meditation, which I've been doing for over a decade -- probably to help relieve the stress I was going through when I was working at Oracle. I also started a yoga practice at the same time. We do have a yoga class at Salesforce.com for our employees twice a week". " Today, I don't carry a cell phone or a Blackberry, because those precious moments that I have walking down the street or being in the car, I value. As soon as I get into the office or home, I'm connected." Benioff pioneered the 1/1/1 Integrated Philanthropic model, by which companies contribute 1 percent of profits, 1 percent of equity, and 1 percent of employee hours back to the communities it serves. Trading Life

Alan De Botton, contemporary philosopher from UK, mentions that each of us have some innate "liking" and which Martin Seligman (Father of Positive Psychology) calls as "Signature Strength". Both these thinkers encourage people to dial-in hobbies everyday and feel bliss. In fact, it is our sincere belief that if each of us spend just 10 minutes everyday in thought/feeling/action around our hobbies/signature strengths, in about a couple of months...a super transformation happens in our personality and would help us to make this country into a Super Power. "Hobby leads Super Mental Conditioning leads Super Decisions+Super Stress Management leads Super Outcomes leads India Super Power 2020" Here is a short poem that happened to me last evening {in Hindi first and then English description}: Din ke dar par, Raat ke dahleej par, Kuch Saaman dhoond rahein hain, Thaila maila huye jaa rahaa, Dukaan badal rahein hain. On the doors of the day a...
