of love and work, love works

15,000+ hours.
That's what each of us spent during our studies in school and college.
(Some may have easily doubled this).
School is a provision of testing under controlled environment.
(of questions and accepted answers, and fixed variables).

In order to envision and take on the world of uncontrolled environment.
(of many evolving questions, revolving answers, unlimited variables).
To make a vision, a name, and a living
(rather or perhaps or anyways be happy).
But, come to feel of it,
our life essentially revolves around two things.

People we meet.
Things we do.

Lets take a spot test.
(Its your surprise test like in school,
take out your pen and paper.
And of course, you can cheat).

If your day looks pretty much filled with quadrant 1, you are in the karmic flow already. Congratulations for karmic nirvana.
But I bet its not.
You may now be thinking,
"Can I see myself in quadrant 2 and 4 for most time?",
I would say you are in the stage of karmic manthan.
And if you are in quadrant 3, you are in karmic illusion.
Karmic flow is what Mihaly Csikzentmihalyi calls "flow experience".
Highest creativity.
Highest collaboration.
Highest contribution.
Time flows.
Labor flows.

Karmic manthan is where we do more labor in our minds than in action.
Manthan yields both good and bad,
But bad (negative bias) makes good look small.
Too much of reasoning.
Self-interfering.

This is the space of incremental creativity.
Tight give-and-take collaborations.

Most of us could easily be spending a lot of time in quadrant 2 and 4.

And because, we aren't trained to see and build on:

"That there will always be certain things in life that we shall not love to do, but we can work towards loving it gradually and eventually"
and

"That there will always be people who shall be difficult to collaborate, but we can work towards loving them gradually and eventually"

We can keep moving towards quadrant 1 through tools of self-awareness.

Ever so when you feel inner dissonance, ask yourself, which quadrant is this from.

If it is in quadrant 2.
Do not want to do things but have to.
Do them alone.
Or do them with people you love to meet.
Yet, the not-wantingness to do plays very heavy.
It could be a routine task that undermines your ability.
It could be a difficult task that questions your ability.
It could be a task that can be done by someone else but not you.

You need to be able to see your routine or task as an opportunity for action. Through your work, you can make people love you.

If you don't buy this, then with unemployment rates on the rise across the world, you are lucky to be employed or self-employed.

If you don't buy this, then you are lucky to have healthy body-mind to perform.

If you don't buy this, then you are sure lucky to be in a country where you can enjoy a lot of freedom, unlike several geo-politically troubled countries.

If you don't buy this, then you can thank for the humungous labor that has gone over thousands of years of humanity that has created open source technologies like language, culture, tools, human mind, human body. And that you have the opportunity to use it for free and take it further.

If you don't buy this,
I have another 100+ reasons,
but tell you what?
Please don't cheat. You just maybe in quadrant 3.
Now if you are in quadrant 4, all you need to do is know your own self.
When we start knowing ourselves,
we can then see that we are not able to make our own self work the way we want (for example: reduce negative thoughts and increase positive thoughts, unless we work very sincerely on it)

Then how can we judge and make others work the way we want.

Through knowing our own self, we can see our own fragilities,
our not-knowingness, our motives, our motivated reasonings,
the element of chance in life, our habit led actions.

Knowing-witnessing our own self helps us see these in others too,
and thus approach them with humility.

And if we have to co-labor with them,
then love is the only means.

So, let's not make it work,
let's make it love.
Love the people we meet (not all, but just more)
Love the things we do (not all, but just more)

Since no one will admit that they are in quadrant 3,
I am taking the liberty to not address it.

more on this some time later...

*footnote...each quadrant has further bifurcations but for time being they been rested for convenience.
