intolerance; he-said-she-said volleys

what is to be tolerated it turns out that aspects of what i call like-good-right gives me a sense of ease but it also turns out that i experience dislike-bad-wrong as well that gives me a sense of dis-ease my ease could be someone's dis-ease my dis-ease could be someone's ease why is it so? how could i have gotten here with these disparities maybe genetic maybe memetic maybe origins maybe telos and maybe all of it now that i have it let me take it as a gift or as a wonderful challenge because maybe these complementary forces or opposites are the physics of a human society or fundamental elements of a human society's periodic table to make society a huge chemical lab making unstable compounds as a stable experiment or each human being, a biological cell that makes the body of a huge organism called "society" and it has both good cells and bad cells some symbiotically existing so...

Family of Meaning

Meaning! What does she mean? What do I mean? This means that. and that another. So many meanings. Meaning seems a free market trade. Meaning is a huge joint family Time is the original mother... abstract elastic Space is the original father... concrete fiction Matter & Action, the eldest children, the twins, some with secret sibling language, some submissive, some so apparently only. Feeling, the child born after eight threshold of cosmic complexity, a difficult delivery i must say, prematurely born... grows slow Thought, the youngest child bond of a vagabond, confident only in its ignorant confines You see this family has grown They don't look alike Maybe strangers therefore. Hence, sometime we mean something And say something And people perceive it totally other. There are many such family gatherings and many a disputes Next time, It would be great service to hold In humble regard Your meaning and the o...

"The Art of Life" : Meditations on Virginia Woolf & Sigmund Freud

The following is derived upon meditations of Sigmund Freud's essay titled "Civilization & it Discontents" (1929) and Virginia Woolf's successful novel called "To The Lighthouse" (1927). I wish to establish that both thinkers observe art as being used as a healing/palliative measure, however Freud regards it as a mere substitution or fantasy, and hence sort of an escape, whereas Woolf regards art as primary, something beyond the art itself, and hence subscribed-prescribed it for life.   The turn of the nineteenth century towards the twentieth was seen as a melting pot of culture, and a turn from social towards individual self.   Freud believes that the human life is built on the pursuit of pleasure principle. That humans have desires, and seeking and fulfilling it gives pleasure.  To Freud, there seems to be three sources of suffering: the body, the nature and the relations. Body has needs for survival and reproduction, henc...

Economical Vs Egonomical Crisis

Image
Fritjoff Kapra in one of his books mentions the meaning of economy as: that which considers a geography, a house as a whole, and to hold it together, the craft of distributing opportunities and materials. Are we there yet? No. And why? Because the economy has underpinnings of egonomy. While chasing the apparent economical growth, in reality we are all chasing egonomical growth. The egonomical growth wants expansion of recognitions, possessions, voice, freedom. And one seems to also believe that the more one grows in these, the more survival chances one has. However, egonomical growth compels beast practices (while propagating best practices). One knows no self-bound of how much is enough. As it is built on the reference point of how much somebody else has. And these do not allow or rather do not afford growth for all. It automatically creates the haves and have-not gap. So, what is the solution? Well! At the level of the nation, the political class leaves a lot ...

of love and work, love works

15,000+ hours. That's what each of us spent during our studies in school and college. ( Some may have easily doubled this ). School is a provision of testing under controlled environment. ( of questions and accepted answers, and fixed variables). In order to envision and take on the world of uncontrolled environment. (of many evolving questions, revolving answers, unlimited variables). To make a vision, a name, and a living (rather or perhaps or anyways be happy). But, come to feel of it, our life essentially revolves around two things. People we meet. Things we do. Lets take a spot test. (Its your surprise test like in school, take out your pen and paper. And of course, you can cheat). If your day looks pretty much filled with quadrant 1, you are in the karmic flow already. Congratulations for karmic nirvana. But I bet its not. You may now be thinking, "Can I see myself in quadrant 2 and 4 for most time?", I would say you are in the stage of k...

happy goes lucky

A man is known by the accessories he keeps. And is better known by the ones that he could, but chooses to not keep. It was 12 noon and I was waiting for the Chief Medical Officer of a 1200 bed government hospital, one of Asia's largest tuberculosis facility. And having closely worked with government, the expectation was to meet a man with few of his staff rushing-jerking to match his steps, asking for a thousand opinion, taking a hundred notes, and carrying some errands ... basically most times making the person feel important. But a happy thing happened. A simple frame walked alone with a busy yet joyful gait, and said, "Hello, I shall be back in a minute. Why don't you sit in my cabin?" We lazily ushered inside the cabin. And for a moment, I was left wondering if this was the right one. Chief Medical Officer's cabin???!!!! It had simple wearings. As if the cabin felt itself at home in this place. It did not want to pretend...
